Gravel Ride Milano-SAn remo
Milano-San Remo is the longest one-day professional bicycle race in modern cycling. Hence, we have planned a long day in the saddle for our group ride. Inspired by Konny Looser’s “DirtySox Insider: Lake Epic” ride, we will do a slight variation of his route.
THIS RIDE IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!!
We will be riding approx. 18-20km/h average on gravel with some climbing.
The goal of this ride is to help develop your baseline aerobic fitness. Building on our Strade Bianche ride we double the effort for this ride. At the beginning of the season a proper endurance ride is just what our bodies need.
Very good fitness required!
NUTRITION:
– Ideally eat a muesli bar before the ride.
– Drink: two bottles with electrolytes; we will refill during the ride
– Eat: We recommend you bring some gels. Assume 1g of carbs per kilo of body weight per hour. Start fuelling 30 minutes into the ride.
